Working with AuroraCell

Support included. Custom work clearly scoped.

Cell purchases

Technical support included

Technical support for product selection and application questions is included with cell purchases. We help you understand the selected product and the next evaluation steps.

Custom projects

Engineering services quoted separately

Customised batteries, pack development, prototypes and project-specific integration are scoped and quoted separately. Deliverables and responsibilities are agreed before work begins.

Sodium-ion expertise · chemistry-independent advice

The application comes first.

We specialise in sodium-ion technology while recommending the best technical fit for your requirements. If another chemistry is more suitable, our assessment will say so.

Our development work focuses on cell characterisation, pack design, control-system adaptation and application validation, working with specialist partners where needed.

Requirements into solutions

Examples of the work we support.

Example project scope · development work

Residential battery around a specified cell

A customer specifies a cell for a residential storage solution. AuroraCell handles the technical work, coordinates pack design and prototypes, and supports qualification and compliance activities with specialist partners. The scope is agreed around the intended application.

Example project scope · custom assembly

Custom welded 12V battery for a customer BMS

A customer needs a welded battery assembly for use with their own BMS. AuroraCell organises cell sourcing and welded connections, and coordinates applicable testing, certification activities, transport, import and EU compliance documentation.

A defined process

From first discussion to the next milestone.

01 · Requirements

Set the direction

Share voltage, energy and power requirements, duty cycle, temperature range, space constraints, expected volumes and timeline.

02 · Scope

Agree the work

Define the technical approach, project outputs and the roles of AuroraCell, the customer and specialist partners.

03 · Delivery

Evaluate and progress

Coordinate samples, design work, prototypes and evaluation, followed by qualification and supply planning as required.

Your questions

Working with our engineering team.

Can AuroraCell support a project beyond cell supply?

Yes. Custom pack development, prototypes and project-specific integration are available as separately scoped services, delivered through in-house engineering and specialist partners.

Do you only recommend sodium-ion batteries?

No. Our particular expertise is sodium-ion, but recommendations are chemistry-independent and based on the application.

Do you develop cell chemistry?

We focus on applying and evaluating battery technologies, with access to emerging cells through our network. We do not develop cell chemistry.
